I am convinced that as long as I may be blessed to live, I will always clearly remember the first time I met Sam. She was sitting peacefully on the floor of the local library in the middle of a veritable minefield of clippings and books scattered out around her in a seemingly chaotic array. Seballah's SecretThe gentle chirp of a few lazy crickets drifted softly through the late Autumn air of Tallahassee. The sun’s heat, seemingly ever present in North Florida, did little to disguise the cool bite of oncoming winter in the breeze. All was peaceful. All was calm. Dreams...Katya Petrovenya’s hand trembled slightly as she held the phone receiver to her ear with all the steadiness she could muster. The call would be answered, of that she had no doubt; it had been arranged beforehand. Still, her last shred of uncertainty caused each unanswered ring to evoke in her heart a fluttering rise and a crushing sink, until the hollow click of a lifted receiver sent it soaring.

Coming Home...The strong howl of Mia “Fair-Hand” rang out across the hectic expanse of the bawn. The tribes had been called to a great moot, an uncommon occurrence at any time. This time was truly unique, however. Not only had the Garou summoned one another, but, for the first time in millennia, the Garou had called their changing cousins, too. With the Concolation a mere week away, the bawn was a chaotic sprawl of birds and bears, cats and crocodiles.
